Lamp designed by Michel Boyer, featuring a high, truncated quadrangular granite base with projecting fins at the corners. A nickel-plated metal plate sits on top of the base and supports two nickel-plated arms that hold a rectangular glass slab reinforced with a metal mesh. The lamp emits a soft, dimmed light.
Michel Boyer’s work often set heavy materials against refined detailing. In his lighting, stone, metal, and glass were combined in geometric forms, as in this lamp: sculptural, precise, and conceived with the rigor of an architectural element.
