ARCHIVE MAITU was founded by two architects and longtime friends, Ksenia Vauchskaia and Valentina Gracheva. Our partnership spans more than seven years, during which we founded the architectural studio manubureau and created manuobjects, a brand focused on small-scale design objects.
Born from this shared experience,
ARCHIVE MAITU was established in Berlin. Our work here moves between interior architecture, furniture design, vintage objects, a library dedicated to design history, and reflective articles.
As architects, we approach collecting and curating with a sensitivity to space, material, and history. This perspective allows us to look beyond function and style, paying equal attention to well-known design icons and overlooked objects that deserve new recognition. ARCHIVE MAITU is conceived as a living archive — one that grows through research, writing, and collaboration.
For us, it is not only about objects. It is about creating atmosphere, bringing history into the present, and paying attention to how things are made.
