ARCHIVE MAITU was founded by two architects and longtime friends, Ksenia Vauchskaia and Valentina Gracheva.
Our partnership spans more than six years, during which we founded the architectural studio manubureau and created manuobjects, a brand focused on small-scale design objects.

Born from this shared experience,
ARCHIVE MAITU was established in Berlin.
It brings together interior architecture, furniture design, vintage objects, a library dedicated to design history, and editorial work.

THE MAITU catalogue reflects our vision through the curation of vintage and contemporary pieces with character, from iconic designers we admire to hidden gems and contemporary voices we carefully select.

Beyond collecting, we help set the mood for private dinners, interiors, exhibitions, photoshoots, and other occasions. For us, it is not only about objects. It is about creating atmosphere, bringing history into the present, and paying attention to how things are made. If you have an idea that goes beyond this, write to us. Alongside our work with physical objects, we created MAITU MAGAZINE, a space to write in our own voice.
Here We share the stories of the designers and architects whose work has defined how we live and see space. Our goal is to create a space where you can pause, reflect, and find inspiration for creating your own environment. After all, the most compelling thing about a vintage object is the story it holds.

Another part of the atelier is our growing MAITU LIBRARY, a collection of second-hand books on design and architectural history. We believe history is essential to our practice. not only the well-known movements, but also the experiments, the mistakes, and the people behind them.

All the books we offer are second-hand. Each one carries more than just words, a trace of someone else’s hands, a quiet piece of history waiting to be read again.
