the Plafon was conceived as a ceiling lamp, though it also works beautifully as a wall fixture. A grey-painted aluminium disk is intersected by a polished aluminium element that conceals the light source, creating a halo effect around the perimeter and a sharp horizontal contrast at the center.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1946 and based in Barcelona since the late 1970s, Pensi is known for his restrained yet expressive designs. His collaboration with B.Lux in the 1980s and 1990s helped define the company’s contemporary identity, with the Plafon exemplifying his architectural approach to lighting—minimal, precise, and integrated into space.
